Why did I receive an EOB from Century Clinics?

An EOB (Explanation Of Benefits) is a document sent to a patient from their insurance provider which explains the services covered by their policy. It typically includes the date of service, the type of service provided, the cost of the service, and the amount that the insurance company has paid for the service. Please note Century Clinics and our partners do not bill patients for any services or products. You will never receive a bill from us

Why did I receive a letter from Century Clinics?

You may have received an EOB from us which looks like a bill but it's an explanation of the services we charged your insurance company. Century Clinics will not charge individuals for at-home COVID-19 tests. We will only invoice insurance providers for associated costs, as required by the CARES ACT. All insurance companies are obligated to cover the expense of at-home COVID-19 test kits with zero out-of-pocket costs for patients. You will never receive a bill from us.

Why are at home COVID-19 tests covered by insurance?

On Jan. 10, 2022, the Federal Government announced guidance requiring commercial insurance companies and group health plans to cover the cost of at-home diagnostic tests, also known as over-the-counter (OTC) COVID-19 tests, without the involvement of a healthcare provider.
